My Blog
In 2005 family member Joe Benson (Myself) was brought over from England to help market the sign online. By 2013 Endurosign had sold over 250,000 units in Australia and New Zealand.
However, with growth going so well in 2014 disaster was to strike the business. Doug and his wife Audrey both passed away and Paul (an only child) could not handle the grief and turned to substance abuse to help relieve the stress. I tried to keep the business afloat as best I could but unfortunately it was hemorrhaging money due to Paul's now severe addiction. As I had a young son on the way and believing that there was no way to save the business I left Endurosign to start my own printing business along with another staff member Craig Taylor. We tried to purchase stock but unfortunately Paul insisted on being paid up front and I was under no illusion that he would just keep the money as he already owed me about $60,000.
In the meantime, because of a lack of supply a few unscrupulous sign companies copied the Endurosign exactly and because of the health of Paul he was unable to take action to stop this.
To date there at least five copies of the Endurosign all of which are made from the wrong materials and can break easily. As we could not get the Endurosigns any more we approached the manufacturer who was also owed a considerable sum to see if they could make the signs for us under a different brand as the Endurosign name was now mud. They agreed to this and we improved the molds for the sign at great expense and re branded to EZSign.
To date we have about 20% of the market share and as more and more agent and franchises come to realise that the signs they are being sold are poor quality we are slowly regaining our market share.
EZSign has a 3 year frame warranty and 30 day money back guarantee. It is priced lower than the cheaply made imports even though it costs much more to produce. EZSign is priced to sell and we hope this blog post will help inform agents and franchise owners that not all signs are created equal. Please be aware that the Endurosign trademark has recently been taken by another sign company so expect to see another copy of our sign on the market in the near future. Always check the back of your signs for the EZSign logo.
